Solar panels and heat pumps for houses.
The work is on homes: a roof array, an air source heat pump, a battery with the solar, or an EV charger on the drive. Each one is priced after a survey.
The workshop is at Unit 2b Eastfield Industrial Estate, Penicuik, EH26 8HA. We work with homes across Edinburgh and the Lothians.

Solar PV
Panels, mounting, inverter, and the connection into the home, sized to the roof after a survey.
Heat pumps
Air source heat pumps for heating and hot water, quoted only after the existing system has been seen.
Battery storage
A battery that stores solar electricity for later, added when the array and the board can take it.
EV chargers
A home charger cabled to the consumer unit, specified to the supply and the place the car parks.
Grants and VAT
Grants and VAT.
0% VAT on solar installs until 31 March 2027. From 1 April 2027 the rate is 5%. That 0% covers the panels, the cables, the controller, and the inverter. From 1 February 2024 it covers a home battery fitted at the house. It also covers a heat pump that is fixed in place and takes heat from the outside air for your heating, your hot water, or both.

Home Energy Scotland can pay a grant of up to £7,500 towards a heat pump, and you can add an optional interest-free loan of £7,500, for a homeowner's only or main home in Scotland. The heat pump runs all of the heating and hot water. Rural and island homes can get an extra £1,500 on the heating grant.
